RUMOURS QUALIFIED
LONDON, February 12. The British Broadcasting Corporation's announcements about' Germany' were compiled in the usual way'from reports supplied by regular news agencies. The commentator throughout qualified the rumours as "not confirmed."
A message from London, published on.Saturday, stated: A story that Herr Hitler had been shot again swept through the city, especially the Stock Exchange, and prompted an emphatic official denial from Berlin, where resentment at ' last night's 83.C. broadcast of news from Germany was expressed. "The compilation of this news was not without direction," said an official. "It was ; a contrast of Germany's tact at the time of the news of the Duke of Windsor's marriage." >
