LABOURERS' AWARD
HAWKE'S BAY WORKERS
The'result of the'ballot conducted by the Federation of Labour to decide whether employees of the Hawke's Bay counties should link up with the Hawke's Bay Labourers' Union or with the Wellington District Labourers' Union was announced today by the returning officer, Mr. F. D. Cornwell, secretary of the federation, as follows:—In favour of Wellington union, 104; in favour of Hawke's Bay union, 27.
All county employees affected by the ballot and coming within the scope of the labourers' award will now be covered by the Wellington Industrial District Labourers' and Helated Trades Award.
