SHANDON CLUB
The chief event held at Shandon over the weekend was the final of the Summer Cup between B. Hipkins and J. S. Park over 36 holes, on handicap. The game was very even all of the way and Hipkins, who received 6 strokes over each 18 holes, proved to be the winner by the small margin of 2 and 1. Both players were at the top of their form and they played golf within their handicaps. Hipkins's win . was made sure by his chipping out on two occasions during.the match. The competitions resulted as follows:— " . First Medal Round.—E. McCarroll, 82, 12—70; C. A. Turnbull, 81, 11—70. Bogey Round.—M. A. Traill, 5 up; G. Dennis, all square; A. E. Clarke, all square; W. B: Reilly, all square. Second Medal.—A. E. Clarke, 74, 6—68; W. B. Reilly, 75, 5—70; H. A. Hansen, 81, 11—70; R. G. Hayworth, 74, 3—71; W. R. Tustin, 75, 3—72. Fourball Bogey.—E. C Hollis and D.
