CRUISE AND DANCE

The staffs of the combined Wellington stock and station agents held their first social function in the form of a moonlight harbour cruise on Saturday night. Although the day had been rather doubtful, the sky cleared in the evening, and with the moon beaming across the water a wonderful picture was presented. The water was perfectly calm, and this, coupled with the lively music of the orchestra, made the dancing very enjoyable.

A call was made at Day's. Bay tor supper, which was served in the pavilion. After this break, the steamer slowly returned, reaching Wellington just after midnight.
