POLO PLAYER'S DEATH
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) HASTINGS, This Day. Through the polo pony he was riding colliding with that of another player, Donald James MacFarlane, aged 21, only son of Mr. J. A. MacFarlane, Glen Aros Station, Hastings, received injuries to his head and spine from which he died. The accident occurred during the progress1 of a .game, : MacFarlane being thrown heavily. ' '. . . . MacFarlane, who was educated at Wanganui College, was a keen allround sportsman and held a gentleman rider's' licence.
