GERMAN RESENTMENT
REPORT THAT HERR HITLER
HAD BEEN SHOT
LONDON, February 11. A story that Herr Hitler had been shot swept through the city for the second time, especially in the Stock Exchange, and prompted an emphatic official denial from Berlin, where resentment at last night's 8.8.C. broadcast of news from Germany was expressed. "The compilation of this news was not without direction," said a German official. "It was in contrast with Germany's tact at the time of the news of the Duke of Windsor's marriage."
