ORDER FROM SOVIET
(British Official Wireless.) (Received February 12, 12.25 p.m.) RUGBY, February 11. The steel output in January in the United Kingdom of 1,081,400 tons was the highest ever recorded for the first month of a year. Newspapers record the placing with a Sheffield firm of one of the b\?gest orders for steel works plant - and machinery ever booked in Sheffield. The order has been placed by the Soviet, and its execution gives continuous employment for eighteen months. The total weight of the finished machinery will be between 5000 and 6000 tons. The order was obtained in keen competition with tenders from Germany and the United States.
