Mrs. T. Young, who has been making an extended visit to the South Island, '.[ has returned to her home. 36 Grant -' Road, Wadestown. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Carr and Miss i Valeric Carr have returned to Welling- • ton after spending a holiday at the , Portage, Marlborough Sounds. ' Mrs. F. R. Dudley has arrived in Wellington from Auckland, where she has been staying with her son-in-law i and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. David ■ Cowie, of Remuera. Mrs. Dudley will ! spend a few days in Wellington before ' returning to her . home in Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. Angus White, of Island : Bay, who have been visiting Queenstown and Mount Cook, have returned to Wellington. Mrs. Cyril Rathbone and her~ two children will arrive on Tuesday from Hawke's Bay to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. 'F. D. Clayton.. Molesworth Street. Miss Josephine Purse, Wellington, is visiting Christchurch, and will remain there ten days before leaving for the Sounds. Mrs. E. Hood and Mrs. Kenneth Skeleton, Auckland, arrived in Wellington by the Limited express this morning. They will make a visit to Christchurch. Miss. Jessie Pagan, Plimmerton, arrived in Wellington by the. Wanganella yesterday from a holiday in Australia. Mrs. C. C. Morris, who has been spending an extended holiday in Wellington and Christchurch, has returned to her home in Balclutha. Mr. and Mrs. Rooper will leave on their return to England by the Port Jackson. Mrs. C E. Wood, Karori, will leave on February 17 by the Remuera for a year's visit to Britain. She will be accompanied by her daughter, Miss Margaret Wood, formerly of Hastings, who is to be married shortly to the Rev. Denzil Patrick, M.A., of Edinburgh. Mrs. Wood's other daughter, Miss Kitty. Wood, is at present in London, and will probably return to New Zealand with her mother about the end of the year. Mrs. Brooke-Taylor has returned to Wellington from Auckland. The Rev. and Mrs. J. Lawson Robinson, St. Andrew's manse, Christchurch, will leave Wellington on March 1 by the Awatea for Sydney, where they will join tlie Orontes for England. They intend to return to Christchurch at the end of November, Miss Jean Rose, "The Poplars," who has been visiting Wellington, has returned to Blenheim. Mrs. M. E. R. Tripe, has left for a visit to Christchurch and Dunedin. Mrs. Svensen and Miss Doris Svensen, Wairoa, are at the Hotel Waterloo, and will leave by the Maetsuycker today for the East. Mrs. H. E. Burden is a Blenheim visitor to Wellington. Miss Elizabeth Loe, drama tutor of the British Drama League, has returned to Wellington, after fulfilling engagements at Auckland and Blenheim. Miss Wvett, Greytown, who has been staying at the Orient Hotel, has returned to the Wairarapa. Mesdames James Begg, P. G, Greenwood, E. Gilmour, and J. McGeorge, and Miss N. P. E'itzgibbon (Dunedin) are among the guests at the Royal Oak Hotel. Mesdames Montagu Marks (England), J. H. Gault, W. Fisher (Auckland), R. W. Moe (New York), J. L. Cook (Johannesburg), P. E. Watson (Thames) are among the guests at the Hotel St. George. Mrs. D. Campbell (New South Wales), Mrs.'Winston Brinsley (Dunedin), and Miss M. Mayo (Palmerston North) are staying at the Grand Hotel. Guests at the Midland Hotel include Mesdames M. Rutherford (Adelaide), P. Haffter (Switzerland), J. Hurling and M. H. Bailey (Denver), .Mander (Gisborne), E.P. Cameron (Hinakura), Sprigg (Melbourne), J. B. Phillips (New York), J. N. Miller (Sydney), Misses Miller (2) (Sydney), and H. Card (Featherston). Mrs. J. Alexander and Mrs. B. M. Williams (Perth, Western Australia), and Mrs. F. Mackay (Auckland) are among the guests at the Empire Hotel.
