PRICES OF POULTRY.
Prices of live poultry in the Wellington markets this week are quoted by Townsend and Paul, Ltd., as follows:— Fowls. —White Leghorns: Hens, 2s to 2s 9d each; cockerels, 2s to 3s 3d; pullets, 3s to ss. Black Orpingtons: Hens, heavy, 3s 6d to 4s 3d each; medium, 2s 3d to 3s; cockerels, heavy, 3s to 4s; medium, 2s to 3s. Rhode Island Reds: Cockerels, heavy, 3s to 4s each; hens, 4s to 4s 6d. Ducks. —Indian Runner: Young, 2s to 3s 6d each; old, Is 9d to 2s 9d. White: Young, 3s to 4s; heavy, 3s to 4s. Geese, 3s to 4s 9d each. 1 Turkeys, Is to Is Id a lb. .
