NO AGREEMENT
FIRE FIGHTERS' AWARD
No agreement on wages, holidays, or extended holidays was reached in the conciliation council which yesterday heard claims for an award for fire fighters in the Wellington industrial district, exclusive of. Wellington city, and these matters were referred to the Court. The question whether volunteers or men who received some recompense for loss should be covered by the award was not decided, this matter being left to the Court. Agreement was reached on hours and on machinery clauses.
