GAOL SENTENCE
ASSAULT CHARGE
(By Telegraph—Press Association). DUNEDIN, This Day.
The hearing of charges against Thomas Auchterlonie Kerr arising out of incidents which allegedly occurred at East Taieri on November 9 was concluded in the Supreme Court before Mr. Justice Kennedy yesterday. The incidents concerned a girl of 15. The jury found Kerr guilty of assault with intent'to commit rape, and he was sentenced, to eighteen months' imprisonment.
