NIGHT-FLYING OPERATIONS
(By Telegrapho (Special to the "Evening Post.") BLENHEIM, This Day. The first night-flying operations for some years at Blenheim aerodrome caused a good deal of speculation last night' when the Marlborough Aero Club's new fleet machine was engaged for some time in taking off, circuiting, and landing. Operations were carried out under the supervision of Pilot-Instructor A. Crighton and FlightLieutenant A. T. Orchard, of Cook Strait Airways. Flares were placed on the aerodrome in the shape of a T with the head facing against the wind to indicate the landing direction to the pilot. Several trainees received dual instruction, night flying being an essential part of the training for "B"' licences, and the operations proved I highly successful. I
