PILOT LAUNCH SINKS
STRUQK BY PROPELLER

DUNEDIN, February. 2.
While engaged in transporting, the pilot of the Harbour Board from. the outward bound steamer Waiwera, proceeding to Bluff, to the incoming steamer City of Bagdad, from Lyttelton, the pilot launch met with an accident and sank. Caught by the unusual drag of the water, the launch was unable to get away from the Waiwera's side, and it is thought that the ship's propeller struck her, (or portion of the bow was sliced away. The captain of the City of Bagdad Jaunched a boat and rescued the crew.
