'Immense profits await Bioadway producers in Australia," writes Wan en Munsell, a member of the American Theatre Guild, m the ' New Yoik Times," accoiding to a Press cable message received this week. "Supply versatile actors and recent Broadway plays, and the public, greedy for the theatre, will do the rest." Because of New York ignorance and London indifference, the utter rout of the Australian theatre is impending, he says, and continues: "As I-was unable to convince anyone that my nationality did not automatically entitle me'to a starring role in the theatrical world, I agreed to assist in certain productions. My, debjjt was marred by the appearance of five police officers, constituting the censorship board, perspiring from the'exertion of already banning one play and countless books. tha,t week. They Voted the play, immoral by three votes to two. Australian producers -are giving -too much-attention-to-re-vivals and are afraid to risk funds on the royalties of newajplayg.-"
