SCORCH MARKS ON WOOL
If your woollen jumper has scorchmarks upon it, they can easily be removed by soaking the marked portions in glycerine. Let them dry, then wash in a lather of warm water and soap. Finally, rinse in warm water.
A .colour fashion in' furnishing for 1938 appears to be pastel tones. Off white cai-pets, only a few years ago regarded as the height of extravagance are finding a ready sale. Duck-egg blue and pastel, pink with a faint greyish tinge known as "dusty pink" are colours for rugs that are coming into fashion.
