THEFT ALLEGED
Charged with the theft on January; 30 of a typewriter valued at £13 13s, the property of Noel Dray ton, and with, breaking and entering on January 28 the shop of the Te Aro Book Depot, 64 Courtenay Place, 'and committing theft therein, David Frederick Swift Creed, clerk, ag2d 19, appeared before Mr. W. F. Stilwsll, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today. Detective-Sergeant.P. Doyle said.that the accused was arrested last evening by Detective Smeaton and Constable Hedley. Several other charges 'of breaking and entering were pending. A remand until Wednesday next was granted.
