EXCURSION TO PICTON.
The annual speedboat regatta at Picton, which includes the New Zealand open speedboat championship for the Masport Cup, will take place on Saturday, February 19. A special excursion to Picton will be made by the Wahine on that day, and the regatta programme has' been arranged so that the main events will fit in with the Wahine's visit, the principal race of the day, that for the Masport Cup, being timed for 1.15 p.m. Opportunities for a good view of the races will be afforded by the small steamer Tuatea, which will make short trips on the harbour during the day.. There will -also be launch trips to Torea and Onahau Bays, Thompson's Bay, and Anakiwa. At 11 a.m. a special train will leave'Picton Wharf for Blenheim, and will return before the steamer leaves again at 2.30 p.m. for.Wellington, .where she should arrive about 5.15 p.m.
