HAPPY IN THEIR QUARTERS
When he was in Sydney, ,Mr. J. M. Ellis, art instructor at the "Wellington Technical College and a judge of walking for the Wellington Amateur Athletic Centre, saw some of the'members of the New Zealand Empires Games team and had a talk with tfco manager, Mr. H. McCormick. Mr. Ellis said that the team hiad been given good quarters in the Empire Village at the Showgrounds and were a happy party and appeared to be j very comfortable. Members of the team also appeared to be in very good form and this was borne out b|y G. j Quinn's form in the track events heid |at Sydney on Saturday. The team had found the weather warm, but when he visited them there were no complaints about mosquitoes', which, according to reports, had troubled other, teams.
