P. McHugh has started out as a tramer, ana he has leased the stables which were vacated by L. G. Morris when he transferred to Awapunj. He nas two horses under his care, and it should not be long before he has more. The horses are Brazen King and Brigadpre, apd the former will probably have his next pace at Wanganui. Brigadore is to be prepared for another winter campaign. After the Ashhurst Meeting on Anniversary Day the Royal Divorpe— Royal Queen gelding Royal Tinge was sent through to join f. W. Pavis's string at Woodville." " A three-yeep-old, he ran quite a good race "in the Novice Stakes, and he has been purchased by the Oring! sportsman. Mr. W. H- Gaisford.
; The 7000gs. Lackham colt, Mala, is back in H. p. Russell's stable, and his former owner is well satisfied with his present condition. It is expected that Mala will make his" reappearance on the Woodville tracks next week. Courtcraft has been on the easy list since registering his "hat trick" at Ellershe, and he looks a picture. He has been doing steady work "since he returned, and it is anticipated that he will be in Sydney for the Easter racing carnival. ' " " ' " "'""

The last-named, who is to go through for the " Taranaki Meeting, looks none the worse for her racing at Trenth.ajn, \ \\ . , Aiwaj i§ another back in work, and she is expected "to be ready for the a,utumn racing.
