Based on the figures quoted by the Bank ol New South Wale 9 the New Zealand pound, compared with its original par value, is equivalent to approximately 16s Id tn London £1 0s Id in Australia, 16s 6d in U.S.A., 16s 6d in Canada, 19s 23d in France, 16s 6d in Italy, 9s B}d in Germany, 11s lOd in Java, £1 8s Id in Japan.

Eggs were quoted on the Wellington wholesale market today at Is 5d a dozen for B grade, Is 6d for A grade, and Is 8d for super, representing a rise of 2d a dozen for B grade and supers, and Id a dozen for A grade.
