All available berthing space at the ' wharves .was:. full, and the Durham .had to .stay, in' the harbour until the City of Bagdad, . of the same company's; ileeV cleared the King's Wharf. It is hot common for Wellington's accommodation .to-be" exhausted, hence the' conjecture. There was plenty to- be seen today at the wharves, cranes, winches,,' masts, and funnels, together with more'than ' the usual noise and- activity, giving the port the appearance of a young , "pool."
