THE NATIONAL SHOW
A "PARADISE OF COLOUR"

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
Floral magnificence never seen before in Christchurch, if not in- New Zealand, distinguished the National Flower Show, which today transformed the steel beams and iron roof of the King Edward Barracks into a paradise of colour. Exhibits from all parts of New Zealand made the entries | a record, and special displays arranged with great care and attention to detail came from various provincial districts and from nurserymen and seedsmen.
A superb display was staged by the Reserves Department of the Christchurch City Council, occupying t?5 yards of wall space and providing tjie most comprehensive and gorgeous d^:play of hardy flowers and shrubs evn: seen in the Dominion, and which woiffiH be hard to better in any part of tip world. ■•■•..{'
The show was opened this afternoon and will remain open until tomorrbw night.
