PROTESTS BY CONSULS
NEW YORK, January 20.
A fierce controversy is raging over the showing of a film, "March of Time —Inside Nazi Germany, 1938." Many theatres have cancelled showings after protests from the German Consuls on the ground that it is most unfriendly towards Germany. Crowds booed, jeered, and exchanged remonstrances in' other theatres where the film was shown.
The commentator's dialogue is considered to be especially objectionable.
