AUSTRALIA'S LATEST LOAN.
The first sale cf the Commonwealth new loan, 32 per cent., 1051, was made on the Sydney Stock Exchange on January 12. The loan, which is •' for £8,000,000, was issued at £99 15s. giving an effective yield of £3 15s (3d per cent. . Opened on . November 30. it: was over-subscribed by the. middle of December. The price paid on January 12 includes accrued interest of 31s 5d to May 15. On the afternoon call, sellers quoted £ 101 -in. reply to. bids of £100 15s.
