PELMET'S MANY TROUBLES
Since she was a two-year-old, Pelmet has given her trainer, T. H. Gillett.'all the bother imaginable. At present she is recovering from a damaged heel that has kept her. out of serious work for some time. In races, too, Pelmet has also had more than her share of bad luck. This season she had two. seconds and a third to her credit before she surprised by winning the Criterion Handicap at the New Zealand Cup Meeting. Now she is being pottered about the tracks again, but it is not likely that she will be ready for the Midsummer Meeting iat Riccartott, ■ ' , . *
