WHEAT AND OATS
■ «. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHEISTCHURCH, January 21. Wheat is now being delivered fairly quickly- and it appears that the season will be in full swing within the next fortnight. Most of the samples that have come to hand so far have been from North Canterbury, but a number have also appeared from the Rakaia district. Quality in every case is excellent and the yields are reported to be better than expected, though not enough'is in to make, any estimate of the increase. ' Oats are coming in fairly freely, mainly Algerians, though some Gartons have been, handled. The quality is good and the price for a good sample is 3s for both Algerians and Gartons. Small seed crops have not yet been delivered in' any= quantity.
