«. i MARKET STEADIER BETTER DEMAND FOR BEEF The' frozen lamb Market in London is much • - steadier with prices unchanged, according to the weekly report received by the New Zealand, Meat Producers' Board. Consump-1 lion continues to be good. Light-, weight wethers'are easier, with others unchanged. Ewes are weaker with slow trade. . Frozen beef *is firmer on the better demand. Chilled beef is meeting with better trade and smaller supplies have improved prices. New ■ Zeala.>" porker pi<* are a shade easier owiiii to warmer weather'. Baconers are slightly easier owing to.the weaker ■ bacon market. The board advises that the following are the ruling prices of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of frozen meat mentioned and are for representative parcels of the goods sold on Thursday. Chilled beef prices are averages of the week. All prices are on the basif of delivered to Smithfield market.
