DUNEDIN, This Day.
The apprentice jockey E. A. Jones, 1 who was admitted to the Clyde Hospital suffering from pleurisy on the eve of the Vincent Jockey Club's 'Annual Meeting, has died.
'•On arrival from;Melbourne he was apprenticed to ■C. J. McGregor, of Riccarton, but a few weeks ago was transferred to- P. T. Hogan's establishment. Ho won several races during the holidays.
