INSURANCE PAID
WRECK OF THE PRESIDENT HOOVER
NEW YORK, January 20.
It is reported that the New York Marine Insurance Syndicate paid 2,500,000 dollars in settlement for the total loss of the President Hoover.
The Federal Inquiry Board exonerated the crew of the liner President Hoover from charges of intoxication.
The liner President Hoover (21,936 tons) became wedged on a reefc at Hoishoto Island, off Formosa, last December.
