Australia recently was Derby Fayette, a handsome chestnut gelding by- La Fayette from Lady Derby, who was a speedy mare in her day. La Fayetle was bred in New Zealand by Mrs. M. Duncan, of Christchurch, and was foaled in 1918. He is a black horse by Brent Locanda from Marvinette by Marvin Wilkes from Duchess of Rothschild by Rothschild from The Duchess by Berlin. La Fayette was a winner in New Zealand, and was sold to a Western Australian owner several years ago. He has been-a-big success at the stud. '
