A PRESENTATION
Mr. H. H. Elms, assistant accountant for the past eight years to the Lower Hutt Borough Council, who is leaving for his new duties as Town Clerk, Kaponga, on Monday, entertained the office staff of the council to tea this morning. Mr. B. S. Knox, Town Clerk, congratulated Mr." Elms on his appointment and spoke of the. good relations that had always existed between himself and Mr. Elms. On behalf of the staff he presented Mr. Elms with a travelling rug.
The Mayor (Mr. J. W. Andrews) recorded his appreciation of Mr. Elms's reliability and his close knowledge of the accounts under his control.
The Borough Engineer (Mr. R. F. Mainland) congratulated Mr. Elms on his appointment.
