MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., dealt with cases in Die Magistrate's Court today. A fine of 20s and costs was imposed on James Fineran, labourer, for using indecent language in a railway carriage. Owen Gosson, warehouseman, was fined 20s and costs for failing to register a firearm within the statutory period. For casting offensive matter m a public place, John Barnson, and Keith Svenson were each fined 10s and costs, and Jack Waterman 15s and costs. Pleading guilty to performing the work of an electrical wireman, not being registered. as such, William Thomas Glover was fined £2. and costs.
