CONCORDAT BILL
NOT TO BE PROCEEDED WITH
REPORT FROM SERBIA
(Received January 21, 1.20 p.m.) LONDON, January 20. The Belgrade correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" says that it is semiofficially stated that the Government will not proceed with the Concordat Bill, which was so strongly opposed by the Orthodox Church.
The Bill for notification of the concordat with the Vatican, which was introduced last July, led to violent rioting, the anti-Catholics, including the Orthodox Church, regarding the Concordat as unduly privileging the Catholic Church.
