ANIMALS SLAUGHTERED
FOOT-AND-MOUTH DISEASE IN BRITAIN
(Britisb Official Wireless.) RUGBY, January 19. The London Gazette states that it is estimated that £43,174 will be payable as compensation for 4707 animals slaughtered because of foot-and-mouth disease during the first fortnight in January. , It is \ reported that the disease, with one exception, came from the Continent.
