AUCKLAND, This Day.
Advice was received today by Mr. A. L. Lewis, Pan-American airport manager at Auckland, that the Samoan Clipper left Honolulu on her third flight to Auckland at 5.33 this morning, the first hop being to Kingman Reef.
It is believed that freight is being brought, but no mails.
The Clipper is due at Auckland on Wednesday afternoon, and will leave on the return flight on Saturday morning with mails and freight. Captain Edwin C. Musick is prooably in command, and has with him as first officer Captain C. Sellers, who was until recently on the China run.
The schedule provides for the Clipper to reach Auckland about 5 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, unless unfavourable weather in her path causes delay. Present intentions are for the ship to leavs Auckland again with mail and freight for Pago Pago, Honolulu, and the United States before dawn or; Saturday. As far as is possible, the schedule will be maintained, though it is always subject to alteration should the weather make it inadvisable tr- fly.
