WRECKED STEAMER
MELBOURNE; January 8,
The wrecked steamer Saros (3304 tons), owned by Australian Steamships, Ltd., which went ashore at Cape Everard. Eastern Victoria, 300 miles from Melbourne, in a dense fog one night in December, was sold cheaply for about £70 (o a fisherman and guest-house-keeper. Mr. David Allan, of Mallacoola. His tender did not include the cargo.
