Holding the advantage gained on the first day, Canterbury tennis teams on Saturday beat Wellington in the Anthony Wilding Memorial Shield and Kathleen -Nunneley -Casket matches, thus repulsing the strongest challenge they are-likely to receive this season. The Canterbury men retained the shield by 7 rubbers to 4, one doubles match being unfinished, and the women Won the casket by 8 matches to 4. - Very heavy rain on Friday night necessitated the transfer of the matches to hard courts, J . -. , .
