BRUSSELS. January 9,
An autopsy or the Ukrainian financier Julius Barmat disclosed that h« died of heart and kidney disease.
Barmat's death in prison has caused concern to legal authorities, as he was to be tried for the alleged misappropriation of £1,000,000 from the Belgian National Bank. He was also a witness in the case inaugurated as a result of the Rexists' campaign alleging that M. Van Zeeland and M. Franck, Governor of the National Bank, must have been aware that Barmat, who was previously convicted of embezzlement in Germany, was an international swindler. M.
