GERMANY BUYS WOOL
Germany will buy South African wool to the value of £3,250,000 during the period September 1, 1937, and August 31, 1938, plus other products to the value of £1,380,000, according to the terms of the fourth payments agreement, which was recently concluded between the Union Government and the German Reich. The agreement is not a trade treaty, but is intended to facilitate payments between the two countries. The experiment was first tried three years ago and has worked satisfactorily. It has now been renewed for the fourth time.
