CLOSE SECRECY
M. VAN ZEELAND IN ROME
ROME, December 19,
.Remarkable secrecy is being maintained regarding M. Van Zeeland's visit to Rome. The Press has been ordered not to publish- anything.
An earlier message stated that it was understood M. Van Zeeland would propose to Signor Mussolini a conference between ' England, the United States, France, Germany, and Italy in order' to draft a plan for world economic reconstruction and establish a new economic organisation to replace that of the League of Nations, with which Italy and Germany refuse to co-operate.
