PIXIE PEOPLE :
// you could just see my desk! All the paint-brushes in Wellington must have been busy last weekend (or I am sure we have never' had so many competiton entries in the Ring. And there's something I'm ever so pleased about . . . only one painting was unmounted. Such a variety of original and dainty borders there are; chains of daisies, violets, and roses, indeed most of the flowers that are making Spring gardens so lovely just now. Clever work, my elves! Your painting has improved magically. After a long, long search I chose the ivork of these six pixies as the very best: — "Nemo" (15), Khandallah, "Great Greenfeather" (11), Johnsonville, Victor Mitchell (12), Ngaio, "Mischievous" (12), City, Nancy Simpson (11), Karori, and "Lilac" (14), Island Bay. Congratulations, artists of the Ring! Expect a visit from Pqstie very soon. And now I must end my "letter to you for I want Printer Man to find room for as much news of pets and animals as he can possibly squeeze in. It was fun to read of your pets and their quaint tricks. Thank-you all for your sketches, letters, and verses. Now we must prepare for a special Christmas-in-the-Ring. My love to you all. FAIRIEL.
