SERIOUS DAMAGE
TYPHOON IN PHILIPPINES
(Received November 19, 11.40 a.m.) MANILA, November 18.
A typhoon which swept southern Mindoro, one of the Philippine islands, left much destruction in its wake. Five people are dead and 900 houses destroyed. Communications are cut off.
