GUIDE FOR ANGLERS
To meet, the' wishes of fishermen— notably anglers with limited knowledge of the Rotorua and Taupo trout fisheries, and unacquainted with the conditions there—an informative little 'booklet has been issued at the instance of the Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. W. E. Parry). The. Minister stated today that complaints had come from ■ persons inexperienced of the waters of the thermal district that better sport than they had enjoyed would have been their lot had they, complete information of the fishing grounds. The booklet, he said, would be a useful guide to the various lakes, rivers, and streams, and the best times of the season to fish them. Mr. Parry said additional facilities had just been provided for the anglers at Taupo by the opening there of. an official bureau in charge of an officer competent to advise fishermen on where to ply their rods and to supply full information on all matters affecting the angler and the fisheries. "The requirements now met. were long needed," added the Minister.
