Encouraging prospects for the coming year . are indicated in the thirtyseventh annual report of the South Island Poultry Conference. Thirty-two societies are affiliated, eighteen of which hold public shows. The year ended with a credit balance of £207. Officers were elected as follows:— President. Mr. G. H. Bradford < Christchurch); secretary and treasurer,' Mr. R. Pearce; councillors. Messrs. H. W. Lowery. A. W. Pritchard, J. D. Gobbe, F. Ainsworth, C. A. Gallop, F. Kingsford, R. W.
