DIVORCED PERSONS
VIEW ON REMARRIAGE

AUCKLAND, November 18,
Confirmation of the findings reached at the last New Zealand Methodist conference on marriage and divorce was made at the-annual, district Synod of the Methodist' Church at Auckland. Various resolutions on these -. subjects had been submitted .by the conference to individual Synods for consideration and the Auckland gathering took action on the recommendation of the special committee on marriage, divorce, and abortion.
A resolution setting . forth the Methodist attitude, to the remarriage pf divorced persons was adopted in the following terms:—That a minister may remarry a divorced person or persons if he. is satisfied, aftar consultation with both parties to the proposed remarriage, that in entering into marriage they have a sincere and honest purpose and an attitude of mind which is in conformity with the Church's view of what marriage should mean, and stand for. . , . \
