PIT-HEAD BATHS FOR BRITISHMINERS

The Miners' Welfare Fund has plans in hand for the installation of pit-head baths at a total cost of £2,100,000^-an amount nearly equal to the cost of all baths installed between 19?6 and,the present day. When the proposed installations are completed, bath accommodation will have been provided for 440,000 miners, or twftthirds of the working population underground. ,
