TRAFFIC OFFENCES

Offenders against the: traffic regulations were dealt with by Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today. Sub-Inspector J. Dempsey prosecuted. For breaches x>i the parking regulations James Stewart, John Corcoran. Gerald William Guerin, Tom Holmes Hill, Alan Desmond Long, and Cecil James Morrish were .fined. 10s and costs. . ..■•:... For driving in the wrong direction in a one-way street William Albert George Spencer was fined 10s and costs. Minna Brickman was fined 10s and costs for a similar offence. Doric'e May Dickerson u>as fined 10s and costs for failing to carry a warrant of fitness. -,■-.. ■ For a breach-of the right-hand rule Douglas Horace Hopewell \yas convicted and ordered to pay costs. Cyril Bor.thwick Pepper was'convicted and fined 10s and costs on a similar, charge. For driving with • insufficient lights John Keith Mac Donald was fined £1 and costs. Allen Athol Smith • was fined 10s, and costs on a similar charge, and Phillip William ' Young was fined 5s and costs. . '■ . " For driving without a licence Robert Guthrie was fined 10s and costs, Raymond Frederick; Daniels was convicted and ordered to pay costs for failing to g}ve way to a tram. For driving without due care and attention Leopold Patrick Roper was fined 10s and costs, and a similar penalty was imposed upon him for driving without a licence. Wilson- Stanley Croft was fined £1 arid costs for driving without due care and attention. For driving.in a manner which might have been dangerous Charles Munn was fined 15s and. costs. ■ • Percival Frederick Kilmister was fined £5 and costs for driving at an excessive speed. Marion Kate Collins was fined 10s and .costs for proceeding .against a traffic light.
