WOMEN'S CRICKET
VISIT TO AUSTRALIA
Consideration was given by the Wellington Women's Cricket Association executive at a meeting last night to the proposed visit by a New Zealand women's cricket team to Sydney, advice of which was received from the New Zealand Women's Cricket Council. The council notified that one two-day and two one-day matches were proposed to be played between January 22 and February 11. It was decided to write to the council expressing disappointment at the itinerary because of no matches being played during the first wecki Since nominations for the team were to be in the hands of the selectors not later than November 30, it was decided to instruct all clubs to send in, the' names of eligible players as soon as possible.
