RECORD SAVINGS
Another record has been reached in the deposits in Australian savings banks. On September 30, the total amount at credit in the savings banks of Australia was £232,845,000, an increase of £816,000 compared with the amount on August 31. In the' corresponding, month of last year the increase in the amount of deposits was only'£l96,ooo.
