CONCESSIONS OBTAINED IN
AFGHANISTAN
(Received November 2, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, November 1.
Germany has obtained concessions for exploiting minerals in Afghanistan, according to the metal industry journal "Metal and Ore," which says that a new company has just been registered called "Afghanistan Mines, Limited," under joint German and Afghan management. The purpose of the company is to prospect and exploit minerals of all kinds.
The "Manchester Guardian" points out that lead, copper, iron, silver, gold, and oil exist in Afghanistan awaiting development. ,
